After 2-3 weeks the nails will need repairs and maintenance. This will prolong the life of the nail, and keep them looking good.
Cuticle work will be carried out, and any missing nails will have the tips re-applied. The length of the nails will be taken down to the original recommendation to prevent breaking or lifting. The acrylic on the nails will be filed down and tidied. Any lifting will be filed away, and filled in. The area nearest to the cuticle will be thinned down and a bead of acrylic will be applied and filed down. The nails will then be buffed, top coated and oiled looking as good as new!
Many clients who have regular maintenance (every 2-3 weeks) wear their nail enhancements for over a year without having them removed and re-applied. However, it is also important to note that this additionally depends on the longevity of the acrylic nail extensions, the client's lifestyle and the rate of nail growth. Always, always keep your 2-3 week maintenance appointments!
