Nail polish can be applied when a set of nail extensions has been applied. This procedure involves a base coat to prevent staining and peeling, two coats of polish and a top coat to prolong the life of the polish. Polish is not usually applied to french extensions with china white tips (although a very pale nude colour may be permissible) or to glitter acrylic, (as polish would ruin the glimmer effect).

Polish should be removed and re-applied whenever needed. If removing polish from extensions at home, ALWAYS use a non-acetone polish remover. Acetone removers will dissolve your nails.
